BEFORE |
- Decide if you want to do the packing or if you want the professionals at Allen Transfer
& Storage co. to do the packing.
- Setup the exact date for loading your household goods.
- Notify schools of the children's transfer
- Obtain forms for transferring drivers licenses and credit cards.
- Notify post office of change of address.
- Send change of address to all publications, friends, and relatives.

| 3 WEEKS BEFORE |
- Arrange for packing a day in advance of pickup with Allen Transfer & Storage. If
self packing arrange to pack a few boxes a day.
- Make travel arrangements, including car rental.
- Send drapes for cleaning, shampoo carpets and upholstery.
- Get rid of any items you are not moving. Have a garage sale or give items to charity.

| 2 WEEKS BEFORE |
- Return all borrowed items, library books, friends and neighbors items.
- Take care of bills and investments.
- Take pets to veterinarian of immunizations.
- Arrange for bank to transfer accounts.
- Have the car prepared for the trip.
- Drain all oil and gas from power equipment.
- "Relax" take a well deserved day trip.
- Transfer prescriptions
- Pack a bag for the trip for the kids, games, snacks, etc.

- Arrange for delivery services to be discontinued.
- Transfer prescriptions.
- Start gathering items to take on the trip.

| TIME TO GO! |
- Make sure the family has a good breakfast.
- Feed all pets.
- Turn off all the light switches.
- Shut off furnace.
- Shut off water.
- Make sure all windows are shut and locked.
- Lock doors.
